AVIATION Forum Executive - American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)

Jim Sherman joined AIAA in August 2022 as the Institute's AVIATION Forum Executive, responsible for setting and executing the Institute’s strategy for developing and executing the annual AVIATION Forum.

Previously, he served as Director of Strategic Development at the Vertical Flight Society (VFS) and was responsible for setting and executing the Society’s strategy for promoting membership development and growth, including supporting the development of the "Electric VTOL Revolution."

Prior to VFS, he was the SAE International events focal point for aerospace and electronics applications, providing leadership in developing new programs for all mobility sectors.

Mr. Sherman’s industry experience has been in the area of ground vehicle power and propulsion systems and aircraft flight and engine controls.
